About SP MDT (Smart Phone Multi-Port Download Tool)

SP MDT (known officially as Smart Phone Multi-Port Download Tool or SP Multi Port Flash Download Project) is a specialized Windows utility developed by MediaTek Inc. It is engineered to flash stock ROM firmware, unbrick bootlooped devices, write system partitions, and restore original factory software across smartphones, tablets, and mobile devices powered by MediaTek (MTK) chipsets.

While standard SP Flash Tool instances are tailored for single-device flashing, SP MDT is designed for simultaneous multi-device flashing (Multi-Port) across multiple COM and USB channels. This capability makes it the preferred enterprise solution for repair technicians, service centers, and production environments requiring rapid, batch firmware deployment.

Key Features of SP MDT

  • Simultaneous Multi-Port Flashing: Flash firmware concurrently across multiple virtual COM/USB ports with independent thread execution.
  • Broad Scatter & XML Configuration Support: Fully supports both traditional Android_scatter.txt layouts and newer XML-based partition schemes (Android_scatter.xml).
  • Built-in Download Agent (DA) & eFuse Security: Integrates authentic DA files (MTK_AllinOne_DA.bin), Authentication DLLs, and security certificates for modern secured bootrom handshakes.
  • Comprehensive Unbricking: Recovers dead phones, resolves bootloops, fixes corrupted system partitions, and restores soft-bricked MediaTek devices.
  • Data Integrity Checksum Verification: Performs real-time USB and storage checksum checks to prevent flashing corrupted or damaged image blocks into internal NAND/eMMC/UFS memory.

System Requirements & Prerequisites

  • Windows 11, 10, 8.1, or 7 PC (32-bit & 64-bit).
  • Installed MediaTek VCOM USB Drivers.
  • Official stock firmware package containing valid scatter files matching the target device hardware.

How to Flash Firmware Using SP MDT

  1. Download the SP MDT archive from LinkSave.net and extract it on your computer.
  2. Launch SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe as Administrator.
  3. Configure the scatter file by clicking Scatter File and browsing to your firmware folder's Android_scatter.txt.
  4. Set the download options (Download Only or Firmware Upgrade) and click Scan followed by Start All.
  5. Power off the target MediaTek device and connect it to your PC via a USB cable.
  6. The flashing process will begin automatically and indicate completion with a green progress bar.
