MemTest86 is the original, free, stand alone memory testing software for x86 and ARM computers developed by PassMark Software. MemTest86 boots directly from a USB flash drive (UEFI environment) and tests the RAM in your system for faults using an array of comprehensive industry-standard test patterns and algorithms.

How to create a bootable MemTest86 USB drive:
- Download and extract memtest86-usb.zip on your computer.
- Insert a USB flash drive (minimum 1GB capacity; backup any existing files on the drive).
- Launch imageUSB.exe, select your USB flash drive, ensure the disk image is selected, and click Write.
- Reboot your system, enter the Boot Menu (usually F12, F11, F8 or ESC), and boot from the USB drive to start testing.
